How Alby can help
As your elected member in the House of Representatives
it is Alby’s job to make the Government aware of local concerns
and to seek funding for local projects.
In his Parliamentary role he can make speeches on important local
issues, ask questions of Government ministers or the Opposition and table
petitions on his constituents’ behalf.
Alby is able to provide information about new funding opportunities
and can write letters of support for community groups or organisations
pursuing Federal Government funding.
He makes himself available to attend as many community events and
functions as time allows and if you would like to invite him to one of
your events, simply contact his electorate office.
Alby and his friendly, trained staff can also assist you with problems
you might be experiencing with Federal Government departments or agencies.
These include Centrelink, Australia Post, Telstra, the Australian
Taxation Office, Child Support Agency, the Department of Immigration
and the Department of Health and Ageing.
Depending on the nature and complexity of the problem, you may
be asked to put your concern in writing so that Alby can contact or make
representations to the most appropriate minister or department on your
behalf.
If yours is a problem Alby is not able to deal with, or is a State
or local government related matter, he or his staff will refer
you to the most appropriate person or department within those jurisdictions.
For a full list of Federal Government departments and agencies
with which Alby can liaise on your behalf visit the Commonwealth
Government On-Line Directory.
